FAQ'S

How long does it take?
Most items take 6 to 8 weeks to build. Shipping takes an additional 1 to 4 weeks in Eastern US and 2-6 weeks in Western US.

What about shipping?
All of our prices include shipping to the lower 48 states at no addition charge. Most orders are sent via our Gold Delivery service in which the driver and his helper place the furniture in the location of your choice anywhere in your home, provide any required assembly and touch up and remove any packaging materials. On very small orders or orders to certain rural areas, Gold Delivery may not be available and the items will be boxed and sent by common carrier. Shipping to addresses located on islands may not be available. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is available at extra charge. We do not ship outside of the USA.

How do I pay for my order?
We require a 50% deposit using a valid credit card for online orders. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. If you prefer to use a personal check, please place your order by telephone. We will send you an email confirmation of your order upon receipt of your deposit and provide you. The balance will be due just prior to shipment. We will contact you when your order is ready so we can make arrangements for balance payment and shipment.

What are your hours?
We are open 8 to 4:30 EST Monday through Friday.

How do I order?
You can order order online, or if you prefer you may order by phone or by mail. See phone number and address at bottom of any page or the Contact Us page.

Will I get an email order confirmation of my online order?
Yes, you receive an automated confirmation immediately, then within a day or two you will get a telephone call or email to advise you of the estimated shipping date and to confirm the details of your order.

Do you do custom sizes?
Yes, we are happy to quote your custom furniture requirements. The only exception is that we do not make custom changes to chairs.

Where can I see the furniture in person?
You can come to our showroom. Every piece we offer is not always on hand, so calling ahead would be wise.

Do you charge sales tax?
If the furniture is picked up in Virginia or shipped to Virginia we must by law, charge 5% sales tax.

Is all Oak the same?
No, we use Quarter sawn White Oak which is nicer than other Oaks and therefore costs more. Quarter sawing is a technique that exposes the rays of the Oak which results in a highly figured and decorative grain pattern. The process is time consuming and wastes wood, which is why quarter sawn wood costs more.

Red Oak is is a less dense wood that is not as nice as White Oak. Beware of others that offer "Quarter sawn Oak". If it doesn't say White Oak, it is more than likely Red Oak.
